Event Details

After a sell-out album launch gig at Hoxton Hall in London last May and a UK-wide tour to follow, singer-songwriter Adam Beattie and his ever-shifting band ‘The Consultants’ will be doing their biggest headline gig of the year at The Lexington. The press have described Adam’s music as ‘Incredibly Beautiful’ (MARY ANNE HOBBS, BBC RADIO 6 MUSIC) and ‘Carefully crafted, gently affecting songwriting with a dark twist’ RODDY HART, BBC RADIO SCOTLAND. Adam performed his best known song ‘A Song Of One Hundred Years’ at the Union Chapel, London in January this year to a crowd of over 600 people, as part of a collective project called ‘Band Of Burns – A tribute to the life and work of Robert Burns’. This saw Adam as Scots-troubadour, a very Celtic melody to accompany the story of his grandfather who lived to be 100 years old. This melodic and warm side is well balanced with a more minor-blues edge. His band, Marco Quarantotto on drums and Harry Deacon on double bass provide subtle improvised accompaniment.’
