Play It Again Sam’s CHAMPS, brothers Michael and David Champion emerged from the Isle of Wight in 2014 clutching their debut album Down Like Gold. A love of alt pop, melodic heartbreak passionate and persuasive harmonies enveloped the follow-up VAMALA. The past twelve months has seen CHAMPS lying low, spending time between London and the Isle of Wight, embarking on numerous surfing escapades including four months travelling throughout SE Asia whilst all the while writing new material. Looking to get into the studio to begin work in earnest the brothers recently played a low-key London show flagging up several new tracks including new single The Garden Is Overgrown providing an insight as to where they are heading musically….
Hailing from Australia but now based between London and Berlin, the dream-pop duo racked up in excess of 1.5 million plays on Spotify with their first track Saltwater last summer. The tail-end of 2016 saw the release the follow-up track Don’t Talk About You again picking up a great response. Armed with shimmering harmonies, decadent electronics, and reflective melodies the pair, having already played in London earlier this year, they mark a return with this appearance. Geowulf are Star Kendrick (vocals) and Toma Banjanin (guitar / production) and part of the roster at burgeoning London-based independent label 37 Adventures.
This Dutch duo marked their arrival a little over a year ago with their utterly perfect and enchanting flip of Stromae’s ‘Papaoutai’. their electronica rework quickly went viral, becoming a massive success on Spotify whilst picking up radio support all over Europe. Having caught the attention of the [PIAS] label, they were recently signed on an international deal. The band retreated to the French Alps to work on new material and the first glimpse of those sessions is new single Tune In Tune Out (mixed and co-produced by Leo Abrahams, who has worked with Jon Hopkins, Brian Eno & Ed Harcourt).
