We at the Lexington and sister venue Three Crowns have chosen a barrel of L’encantada. It’s a Grand Mole 1992 vintage st 55.7%.
Nose: Rich burnt sugar and caramel
Palate: oily, well rounded oak, dry but sweet with big caramel and sugar notes, like a crème brûlée with a hint of stone fruits. A big drop of Xmas in your glass.
Finish. Impressively long. More burnt sugar, a little tobacco or chocolate lurking.
